Levi McMellian, CPA, AIF®

CEO, Executive Director and Founding Partner

Levi is fueled by his optimism, entrepreneurial spirit and incredible enthusiasm. As CEO and managing director of CFO4Life, he oversees vital business operations and pursues new business growth. However, his primary focus remains on building personal client relationships. With a passion for listening and learning about his clients' most important goals and dreams, Levi seeks to offer thorough and impartial individualized advice.

In addition to being a Certified Public Accountant and Accredited Investment Fiduciary®, Levi has a bachelor’s degree in business and accounting from Oklahoma State University. He was also appointed as a panel member of TD Ameritrade’s Advisory Board. As a founding partner, Levi’s determination has changed CFO4Life from primarily an audit and tax firm to an established investment advisory firm. He was instrumental in sculpting its vision creating a comprehensive, team-oriented financial planning firm. Levi also took the concept of financial wellness to executives in large corporations and created comprehensive advisory solutions for corporate retirement plans.

Levi resides in Argyle, Texas with his wife and four children. He is very active in his community, coaches multiple youth sports teams, and is an avid golfer. Curing Kids Cancer, a nonprofit dedicated to finding cures to childhood cancers, is dear to his heart and he serves on its board of directors. Together, they host an annual charity golf tournament to raise money for Curing Kids Cancer.


Brian Chastain, CFP®, MBA

CIO and Founding Partner

As CIO, COO and Founding Partner at CFO4Life, Brian leads the firm’s investment committee, helping develop its long-term vision, policy and strategy. With over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, Brian has focused his career on helping clients identify and build their dreams through sound financial wealth management. As a teacher, Brian empowers his clients to make well-informed decisions as they seek to live the life they imagined.

A Certified Financial Planner™ Practitioner, Brian’s extensive knowledge and experience in the Financial Planning Industry has been essential to the longevity of CFO4Life. In addition to creating personal investment strategies for his clients, Brian is also actively engaged with the construction of individual plans, estate considerations and the tax implications for each strategy. By consistently providing judicious, effective and objective advice, he has earned the confidence, trust and respect of his clients.

Brian currently resides in Coppell, Texas, with his wife, Julie. They have five children and one grandchild. Outside of the office, Brian enjoys spending time with his family and traveling to areas of historical significance.


Rusty Boaz, CPA, CFP®

Tax Planning Director and Partner

With over 25 years of financial experience in multinational Fortune 500 companies, Rusty understands what drives corporate executives. As Partner and Tax Planning Director at CFO4Life, Rusty specializes in helping executives get off the “corporate treadmill.” Having worked with companies spread across 60 different countries, Rusty has broad experience and expertise in acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, foreign exchange and valuations.

Rusty career began in the “Big 4” public accounting field, laying the foundation for his role as Tax Planning Director at CFO4Life. A former VP Treasurer, VP Tax and segment CFO for two public companies (including a $4 billion manufacturer), Rusty understands what it takes to navigate corporate complexities and help owners grow the value of their business. In addition to his Certified Financial Planner™ designation, Rusty earned his B.B.A. in Accounting and Master of Science in Taxation from Texas Tech University.

Rusty is actively engaged with in the Coppell community, assisting missions, prison outreach, youth groups and a benevolence ministry that teaches money management. Outside of work, he enjoys playing golf and spending time with his wife, Kathleen, and their three children, Jake, Rachel and Nicolette.


Chase Reid, CFA®, CFP®

Investment Solutions Manager and Partner

Working alongside Brian to manage CFO4Life’s individual and institutional portfolios, Chase specializes in designing tailored solutions that connect client goals to investment portfolios. As Partner and Manager of Investment Solutions, Chase also leads the research and communication efforts for CFO4Life’s investment solutions team.

After graduating from Baylor University with a B.B.A. in Economics and Financial Services and Planning, Chase started his investment career in the midst of the 2008 financial crisis. Though these were challenging and uncertain years, Chase considers his experience to be truly formative and foundational to his career. He earned his Chartered Financial Analyst™ designation in 2013. Consistently demonstrating a commitment to excellence, Chase was invited to become a partner at CFO4Life in 2015.

Chase lives in Pittsburgh with his wife, Lauren, an Assistant Professor at the University of Pittsburgh’s Katz Graduate School of Business. They both serve their local community, donating time and resources to their local church’s multiple outreaches throughout Pittsburgh. When they have time away from work, you can find them traveling or enjoying outdoor adventures.


Elizabeth Allie

Senior Financial Planner and Compliance Administrator

Elizabeth is a Senior Financial Planner focused on providing planning support and assisting with the management of client relationships. She is involved at all levels of servicing clients financial needs, including the development and implementation of our comprehensive financial plans.

Elizabeth has 10 years of financial industry experience. Prior to becoming a financial planner, she worked as a personal banker for Wells Fargo bank. She obtained a B.S. in Agribusiness from Texas A&M University in 2004 and received her certificate in Financial Planning from Southern Methodist University in 2012.

Elizabeth grew up in Fort Worth, Texas and currently resides in Dallas. She is an active member of the Junior League of Dallas, volunteering at places such as the Ronald McDonald House. When Elizabeth is not working, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.


Kristina Miller, Registered Paraplanner®

Senior Financial Planner

As a Senior Financial Planner at CFO4Life, Kristina works directly with clients, seeking to help them meet both short and long term financial goals and dreams, including forecasting of current and future cash flow needs, evaluating and assisting with limiting risk exposure, tax efficiency strategies, and retirement income planning.

Kristina attended the University of North Texas where she studied business and finance and later obtained her Registered Paraplanner® designation in 2009. She has over 15 years of experience in the financial planning industry. Prior to joining CFO4Life, she worked as a Senior Client Relationship Manager at Austin Financial Partners working with high net worth individuals for their investment and wealth management needs.

Kristina is a native Texan, raised in Dallas. In her free time, she enjoys reading, live music, working out and spending time with her border collie, Luke Skywalker.


Bryce Chastain, CPA, CFP®

Tax Manager and Senior Financial Planner

As a Tax Manager, Bryce works directly with clients seeking to provide tax planning strategies for business owners and individuals as well as assist with tax compliance for those clients. In addition, he constructs financial plans for clients encompassing all aspects of their financial lives and focusing on the clients short and long term goals. He seeks to identify and communicate any risk exposure, provide solutions to accomplish the client’s goals and objectives, and partner with the client to monitor the client’s financial plan to ensure the client is on track to meet those goals and objectives.

Bryce is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Financial Planner™ with 3 years of experience serving our clients. Prior to CFO4Life, he worked as a tax accountant at PKF of Texas in the public accounting sector. In addition to his CPA and CFP® designations, he received his B.B.A. and Master of Science in Accounting focused on taxation from Texas A&M University.

When he isn’t in the midst of busy season for taxes, Bryce enjoys following his favorite local sports teams and spending time with his family. He lives in Coppell, Texas with his wife and daughter.


Sean Alford, CFP®, CRPC®

Senior Financial Planner

As a Senior Financial Planner, Sean works with clients to understand their goals and help them achieve their dreams. He takes a comprehensive approach to financial planning, considering all aspects of a client’s situation to deliver customized solutions.

Prior to joining CFO4Life, he worked as a Financial Advisor for an investment advisory firm in Dallas, Texas, and brings experience in retirement, investment, and insurance planning. Sean attended Texas Tech University and graduated with a B.S. in Personal Financial Planning, and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner and CHARTERED RETIREMENT PLANNING COUSELOR℠ designee.

In his free time, Sean enjoys sporting events, photography and spending time with his family. He lives in Coppell, Texas with his wife and two daughters.


Preston Hamilton, CRPS®

Retirement Plan Advisor

Preston is involved heavily with the retirement plan advisory team at CFO4Life. His main role is acting as a relationship manager on all 401(k) plans under CFO4Lifes advisory services. He works with numerous plan sponsors and company executives to make sure their company plan is properly managed, and helps ensure the investments available to participants are prudent vehicles to meet their retirement goals. He has experience in plan analysis, plan design, and participant education.

He graduated from Abilene Christian University with a B.B.A. in Finance. Preston spent the next year and a half in sales, developing client relations in the software and auto industry. From there he decided that he wanted to pursue his passion for finance. Preston obtained his Certified Retirement Plan Specialist® designation in 2016.

In Preston's free time he enjoys all things outdoors. He grew up hunting and fishing as often as possible, and has since developed a love for golf as well. He currently lives in Bedford, Texas with his wife, Anna.


Der Hung

Senior Investment Analyst

Der assists CFO4Life's Investment Team with its investment research and portfolio designs that are tailored to the client's long-term financial goals and objectives. In addition, he manages the firm's day-to-day trading operations.

Der joined our team in February 2014 after working at a community bank in Knoxville, Tennessee, primarily servicing new and existing commercial and residential loans. He previously interned with other financial service firms, including Merrill Lynch and Edward Jones Investments. He graduated from the University of Tennessee, earning a B.B.A. in Finance with a concentration in Accounting. His passion for investment analysis has led him to become a candidate in the CFA® program.

In his free time, Der enjoys the outdoors, Tennessee athletics, and volunteering some of his time to Young Life. He currently lives in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.


Patrick Kelcourse

Retirement Plan Associate

Patrick works with our team of advisors by providing clients with a friendly, clear and professional path as they seek to reach their financial goals. He educates our 401(k) participants on all aspects of personal finances and supports our tax department by providing tax planning to our individual and business clients.

Patrick received a B.S. in Personal Financial Planning from Texas Tech University. While obtaining his degree, he worked at First Capital Bank in Lubbock, Texas. 

In his free time, Patrick enjoys playing golf with friends and family, donating his time to local charities, working out, hunting, and is an avid sports fan.


Carrie Martin-Ghaemmaghami

Office Manager and Tax Support

Carrie joined the CFO4Life team in 2007, and specializes in office management, administration and tax planning. With five years experience in tax administration, she assists the tax department in preparation, organization, and execution of tax returns. Prior to working at CFO4Life, Carrie worked in accounting and administration for 15 years.

Carrie lives in The Colony, Texas with her husband and son. She enjoys spending time with her family, going to the beach, and is a huge fan of the Dallas Cowboys.


Teresa Bailey

Director of Client Relations and Executive Assistant

Teresa joined CFO4Life in 2012. As Director of Client Relations and Executive Assistant, she is instrumental in providing great customer service to our clients as well as administrative support for the management team. She assists with daily operational needs for the team as well as coordinates client meetings throughout the year. Teresa also plays a major role in all event planning at CFO4Life such as retirement seminars, Lone Star Park, and our annual Charity Golf Tournament benefitting Curing Kids Cancer.

In her free time, Teresa enjoys all water activities. She and her husband, Jeff share a love of boating and spend a great deal of the summer months on the lake with their children, Taylor and Jackson along with friends and family. Her daughter Taylor, a graduate of Stephen F. Austin University is a teacher in LISD. Her son, Jackson currently attends the University of North Texas. She is also an animal lover and has two dogs, Stella and Lola.


Leslie Sturgeon

Client Service and Planning Support

Leslie's primary focus is to support our team in contributing to the overall experience that we provide to our clients. She manages client communications and records, as well as, coordinating client meetings throughout the year. Leslie supports the Financial Planning department by assisting in the creation of financial plans, establishing new client accounts, and contributing to many of the day-to-day responsibilities for the team. 

She graduated from the University of North Texas with a B.B.A. in Marketing. Leslie went on to work in the concrete construction industry and specialized in web marketing. She facilitated the building of an e-commerce site and implemented a social media marketing campaign for the company.

In her free time, Leslie loves to spend time with family and friends. She has a passion for cooking, enjoys working out and any activity that involves being outside.
